Pizza Pot Pie is the perfect combination of cheesy, savory, and satisfying flavors. This dish is baked upside-down in a bowl, creating a golden-brown crust with a gooey, cheesy filling. Great for family dinners or cozy nights at home.

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 ½ cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup cooked sausage or pepperoni (optional for Meat Lover’s version)
  • 1 cup sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers, and spinach (for Vegetarian version)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare your pizza dough by rolling it out and set aside.
  • In a bowl, mix marinara sauce, cheese, and your chosen toppings. Season with oregano and garlic powder.
  • Grease an oven-safe bowl or ramekin with olive oil. Line it with pizza dough, leaving some dough hanging over the edges.
  • Spoon the filling into the bowl, then fold the dough over the top to seal it.
  • Place the bowl on a baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.
  • Let it cool for 5 minutes, then carefully flip the bowl onto a plate. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use whole-wheat dough for a healthier option.
  • For a spicy twist, add jalapeños and crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for 2 months. Reheat in the oven for the best results.
